Allah is Malik al-Mulk - The Owner of all Sovereignty (99 Attributes of Allah)

There is no one except Allah who owns and rules the entire creations. None but He who has the authority and power to rule, and decide for the world and everything it contains. He is Malik al-Mulk " مَالِكُ ٱلْمُلْكُ " - The Owner of all Sovereignty, the Master of the entire Universe and the seven skies.

Say: 'O Allah, Lord of all dominion! You give dominion to whom You will, and take away dominion from whom You will, and You exalt whom You will, and abase whom You will. In Your Hand is all good. Surely You are All-Powerful. (Surah 3. Al-i'Imran: 26)

And Who other can be the owner of the universe other than Allah alone who is the owner of all the creations since time immemorial. In fact, this attribute of Allah is the most powerful and magnificent for it exhibits Allah's unlimited dominance over the universe and all the creations contained therein.

When some painter paints a masterpiece painting everyone admires him for his master strokes. But do we admire Allah for His countless creations? Even till date, the Hubble Telescope has been unable to fathom the extent of the universe. In fact, the deeper and farther it goes, the more lost it becomes fro the end is not yet in sight.

Imagine how much power a worldly king wields and how his subjects bow in front of him, mostly out of fear and less of respect. But the same king may be a lesser king when confronted with a king of a larger dominion. Now imagine the Master of All Dominions, whether earthly or heavenly - how great would be that Master or the King or the Sovereign!!
Maalik, Malik and Maleek all come from the root maa-laa-kaa, which points to three main meanings. The first main meaning is to have possession and ownership. The second is to have power and ability, and the third main meaning is to control and have authority.
This root appears 206 times in the Quran in ten derived forms. Examples of these forms are malakat  (“possess”), mulku (“dominion”), and al-malaa’ikatu (“the angels)”.
And Allah is not only the Owner of the all-present dominions and heaves, but He is also the "Maalik i yawm id Deen": The Master of the Day of Recompense, a day on which all commands will be Allah and Him alone. No one will dare intercede lest allowed by Him. all wordily kings and sovereigns will be speechless on that day and will be listening to their reward or punishment, the same way their subjects in the earthly courts.

Allah, the Mālik al-Mulk, is thus the supreme Lord and Master of all worlds, the known and the unknown, the manifest and the un-manifest.

Reading the Al Qur'an should be a daily obligation of a Muslim - Reading it with translation will make it meaningful. But reading its Exegesis / Tafsir will make you understand it fully. May Allah (سبحانه و تعالى‎) help us understand Qur'ān and help us to act upon the commandments of Allah contained therein. May Allah help us to be like the ones He loves and let our lives be lived helping others and not making others' lives miserable or unlivable. May all our wrong doings, whether intentional or unintentional, be forgiven before the angel of death knocks on our door.

May Allah forgive me if my posts ever imply a piety far greater than I possess. I am most in need of guidance.
