Qur'an is a relatively new Divine Scripture as compared to the other three scriptures, namely the Psalms, Torah and the Gospel, commonly referred to as Bible. Yet the miracles the Qur'an contains are simply mind boggling and even some of the hidden meanings that people of other Divine Books have sarcastically been challenging have started to be proved true as time and research continues.
One of the names so mocked is that of Haman, which in Qur'an is attributed to the era of Pharaohs. The name appears about six time in the Qur'an and it is the same Haman whom Pharaoh asked to build him a tall tower so that he could climb up and peep into the heavens to see the God of Prophet Musa Moses, peace be upon him):
(Surah 28 Al Qasas:38) Pharaoh said: "O nobles, I do not know that you have any god beside myself. Haman, bake bricks out of clay and build a lofty palace for me so that I may mount up and be able to observe the god of Moses, even though I believe that Moses is a liar."
However, as per the Scholars and historians, the person called Haman is unknown to ancient Egyptian history. The name Haman is first mentioned in the biblical Book of Esther, around 1,000 years after Pharaoh. The name is said to be Babylonian, not Egyptian. According to the Book of Esther, Haman was a counsellor of Ahasuerus (the biblical name of Xerxes) who was an enemy of the Jews.
Thus Christians usually mock Muslims that how come Haman which according to them appeared in their books about a thousand years after the Pharaoh could appear in Qur'an at the times of Moses. There was, in fact no research on the ancient Egyptian languages that have disappeared which could vindicate the assertions of Qur'an. However, recent research in Egyptian languages do come up of one Haman who was a sort of architect and builder in the times of Pharaoh.
Now please listen to eminent Muslim scholar Nouman Ali Khan revealing the details of the miracle that Qur'an encompasses that just got discovered by time:
The details as read out by Nouman Ali Khan clearly show that there really was one Haman in the court of Pharaoh and the "mistake or lie" that was baked against Qur'an was a lie in itself to mislead people about the Qur'an being a true word of One True God.
وَمَا عَلَيۡنَاۤ اِلَّا الۡبَلٰغُ الۡمُبِيۡنُ
(36:17) and our duty is no more than to clearly convey the Message.”
That is our duty to convey only to you the message that Allah has entrusted us with. Then it is for you to accept it or reject it. We have not been made responsible for making you accept it forcibly, and if you do not accept it, we shall not be seized in consequence of your disbelief, you will yourselves be answerable for your actions on Day of Resurrection.
May Allāh (سبحانه و تعالى) help us understand Qur'ān and help us to act upon the commandments of Allah contained therein. May Allah help us to be like the ones He loves and let our lives be lived helping others and not making others' lives miserable or unlivable. May all our wrong doings, whether intentional or unintentional, be forgiven before the angel of death knocks on our door.
May Allah forgive me if my posts ever imply a piety far greater than I possess. I am most in need of guidance.
