Duties of a True Muslim

I have been sharing video of the prominent Muslim scholars to convey to my readers their viewpoint about various facets of Islam so that they better understand Islam and practice it as directed by Allah and conveyed to us by the Last ever Prophet of Allah, Muhammad ﷺ. This effort on my part has been specially directed to the reverts so that without wasting time and finding to know answers to their queries, right from the mouth of learned scholars of Islam.

However, my today's post on Duties of a True Muslim, to me seems a very important lecture which must be very attentively listened to by all, both born Muslims and the reverts, for today's selected scholar Dr Israr Ahmed has been a specially gifted scholar of our present times who has devoted his entire life for the propagation of message of Islam which only a few has had the honour to do so.

Dr. Israr Ahmad (26 April 1932 – 14 April 2010), was a Pakistani Islamic theologian, philosopher, and Islamic scholar who was followed particularly in South Asia as well as by South Asian Muslims in the Middle East, Western Europe, and North America. [1]

Here in this video lecture, Dr Israr very eloquently explains the qualities of a true Muslim - qualities that each Muslim should strive to attain so that he becomes a role model for others and others should feel inclined to be attracted to him, listen to him and get educated and become better Muslims too, as did Dr Israr all along his life. If this cycle continues, we all would become true Muslims, something that Allah wants us to be. And needless to mention here that Dr Israr Ahmed himself was a symbol of role model Muslim embeded with all qualities that he describes in his lecture and he dutifully discharged his duties as a true Muslim all along his life. May Allah be pleased with him. Ameen
