Collection of Hadiths attributed to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

Michael H. Hart in his epic book Most Influential Person in History writes that My choice of Muhammad to lead the list of the world's most influential persons may surprise some readers and may be questioned by others, but he was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both the religious and secular levels.

Owing to the importance and respect given to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as acknowledged in the premise of Micheal H Hart book mentioned above, so much has been written about the Sunnah and Hadith of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ that it is difficult to fathom the immensely large reservoir of written work eulogizing the last of the prophets of Allah. We too at Islam: My Ultimate Decision, added a new section in our blog about Sunnah, Hadith, Supplications and etiquettes taught by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. But at that time, we thought we would be able to handle this enormous task easily for we only wanted to add selected Hadiths. But as our posts grew in number, it became difficult to handle every aspect related to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Therefore, we had to make separate sections as mentioned in our Reference Page: Sunnah, Hadith and Prophetic Supplications of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The segregation would also allow our readers to look for Hadiths on a specific subject.

While we have made many sections, there are many a Hadith which rather fall in the general realm and thus too needed a separate reference page, which is this one. We will keep adding more and more Hadiths here as per the theme of this page and our readers will be able to read the Add ONs as and when these appear on our blog.

Herein under are the Hadiths that are of subjects of general nature, collected so far:

Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī
Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim
Sunan Ibn Majah
Jami` at-Tirmidhi
Sunan Abi Dawud
Eclipse / Salat al-Kusuf (Special prayer in wake of an eclipse)
Hadith (Lust for Money)
Justice:
Hadiths of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ about Self-Reliance with Dignity and Value of Honest Labour

We will continue to update this page in time. Please pray for us.
May Allāh (سبحانه و تعالى‎) help us understand Qur'ān and follow the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, which is embodiment of commandments of Allah contained in the Qur'ān. May Allah help us to be like the ones He loves and let our lives be lived helping others and not making others' lives miserable or unlivable. May all our wrong doings, whether intentional or unintentional, be forgiven before the angel of death knocks on our door.
(36:17) and our duty is no more than to clearly convey the Message.”
That is Our duty is only to convey to you the message that Allah has entrusted us with. Then it is for you to accept it or reject it. We have not been made responsible for making you accept it forcibly, and if you do not accept it, we shall not be seized in consequence of your disbelief, you will yourselves be answerable for your actions on Day of Resurrection.

May Allah forgive me if my posts ever imply a piety far greater than I possess. I am most in need of guidance.

Reading the Qur'ān should be a daily obligation of a Muslim - Reading it with translation will make it meaningful. But reading its Exegesis / Tafsir will make you understand it fully. It will also help the Muslims to have grasp over social issues and their answers discussed in the Qur'an and other matter related to inter faith so that they are able to discuss issues with non-Muslims with authority based on refences from Qur'an.

Note: When we mention God in our posts, we mean One True God, we call Allah in Islam, with no associates. Allah is the Sole Creator of all things, and that Allah is all-powerful and all-knowing. Allah has no offspring, no race, no gender, no body, and is unaffected by the characteristics of human life.

Man laments: When will Allah’s help arrive? Allah reassures: Behold, Allah’s help is close by

Many a nation came and gone without any trace who disobeyed Allah and His messengers. They did not live a second a day when the wrath of Allah befell them for hindering the ways of His prophets and hurting them physically and mentally. But those who were steadfast and braved the hardships to keep the Divine message from being spread, were finally successful, both in this world and the hereafter.

However, propagating the word of Allah and His religion is an arduous thing. Even prophets have sometimes lost heart and lamented for Allah's help. Like for instance the case of Prophet Yunus (Jonah, may peace be upon him) who when could not make a headway to convince his people to follow the straight path, lost heart and without waiting for help from Allah abandoned his people. You may read his story at: Prophet Yunus (Jonah) and Allah's displeasure.

But man is still man, fragile and weak from inside. Thus, a stage may come when his patience wanes and he cry to Allah in despair for he sees no Divine help at hand. Even Prophet Muhammad ﷺ too at times was so disheartened by the cruelty of pagans of Makkah, that he would look towards the sky for any signs of Divine help. And he was reassured by Allah that he should not lose heart for Allah's help was at hand. This is the theme of 214th verse of Surah 2. Al Baqarah (The Cow) as mentioned below. However, in it, there is a caution for the true believers to bear the hardships and never lose hope for Allah's will ease their sufferings and make it heavy for those who obstruct their way and hurt them:

(2:214) Do you suppose that you will enter Paradise untouched by the suffering endured by the people of faith who passed away before you? They were afflicted by misery and hardship and were so convulsed that the Messenger and the believers with him cried out: “When will Allah’s help arrive?” They were assured: “Behold, Allah’s help is close by.”
A whole story has been left out between this verse and the preceding one, for this verse itself points to it and because it had already been related in detail in the Surahs which were revealed before this at Makkah. In the preceding verse it was stated that the Messengers, were sent to remove those differences which had arisen in religion, but the story of their hardships and long persecutions was omitted because it had already been described in detail in the Makki Revelations. Hence the believers are warned that the Messengers and their followers have always had to struggle hard with the rebels against Allah in order to establish His Way, and that the true Faith of Islam has never been a bed of roses. One has to exert one's utmost to establish it and to fight against all those evil forces that oppose its establishment, even at the sacrifice of one's life, if need be

Tafsir Ibn Kathir: Victory only comes after succeeding in the Trials

Or think you that you will enter Paradise) before you are tested and tried just like the nations that came before you.

This is why Allah said: (وَلَمَّا يَأْتِكُم مَّثَلُ الَّذِينَ خَلَوْاْ مِن قَبْلِكُم مَّسَّتْهُمُ الْبَأْسَآءُ وَالضَّرَّآءُ ...without such (trials) as came to those who passed away before you, they were afflicted with severe poverty and ailments) meaning, illnesses, pain, disasters and hardships.

Ibn Mas`ud, Ibn `Abbas, Abu Al-`Aliyah, Mujahid, Sa`id bin Jubayr, Murrah Al-Hamdani, Al-Hasan, Qatadah, Ad-Dahhak, Ar-Rabi`, As-Suddi and Muqatil bin Hayyan said that (الْبَأْسَآءِ (Al-Ba'sa') means poverty. Ibn `Abbas said that (وَالضَّرَّآءِ ...and Ad-Darra') means ailments. (وَزُلْزِلُواْ and were so shaken) for fear of the enemy, and were tested, and put to a tremendous trial.

An authentic Hadith narrated that Khabbab bin Al-Aratt said, "We said, `O Messenger of Allah! Why do you not invoke Allah to support us Why do you not supplicate to Allah for us' He said: «إِنَّ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ كَانَ أَحَدُهُمْ يُوضَعُ الْمِنْشَارُ عَلى مَفْرَقِ رَأْسِهِ فَيَخْلُصُ إِلى قَدَمَيْهِ لَا يَصْرِفُهُ ذَلِكَ عَنْ دِينِهِ، وَيُمْشَطُ بِأَمْشَاطِ الْحَدِيدِ مَا بَيْنَ لَحْمِهِ وَعَظْمِهِ، لَا يَصْرِفُهُ ذلِكَ عَنْ دِينِه» (The saw would be placed on the middle of the head of one of those who were before you (believers) and he would be sawn until his feet, and he would be combed with iron combs between his skin and bones, yet that would not make him change his religion.)

(By Allah! This matter (religion) will spread (or expand) by Allah until the traveler leaves San`a' to Hadramawt (both in Yemen, but at a great distance from each other) fearing only Allah and then the wolf for the sake of his sheep. You are just a hasty people.)

Alif-Lam-Mim. Do people think that they will be left alone because they say: "We believe,'' and will not be tested And We indeed tested those who were before them. And Allah will certainly make (it) known (the truth of) those who are true, and will certainly make (it) known (the falsehood of) those who are liars.) (29:1-3)

The Companions experienced tremendous trials during the battle of Al-Ahzab (the Confederates).

When they came upon you from above you and from below you, and when the eyes grew wild and the hearts reached to the throats, and you were harboring doubts about Allah. There, the believers were tried and shaken with a mighty shaking. And when the hypocrites and those in whose hearts is a disease (of doubts) said: "Allah and His Messenger promised us nothing but delusion!') (33:10-12)

When Heraclius asked Abu Sufyan, "Did you fight him (Prophet Muhammad)'' He said, "Yes.'' Heraclius said, "What was the outcome of warfare between you' Abu Sufyan said, "Sometimes we lose and sometimes he loses.' He said, "Such is the case with Prophets, they are tested, but the final victory is theirs.'

Allah's statement: (مَّثَلُ الَّذِينَ خَلَوْاْ مِن قَبْلِكُم ...without (such) (trials) as came to those who passed away before you) meaning, their way of life.

Then We destroyed men stronger (in power) than these ـ and the example of the ancients has passed away (before them)) (43: 8) and:

(وَزُلْزِلُواْ حَتَّى يَقُولَ الرَّسُولُ وَالَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مَعَهُ مَتَى نَصْرُ اللَّهِ ...were so shaken that even the Messenger and those who believed along with him said, "When (will come) the help of Allah.'')

They pleaded (to Allah) for victory against their enemies and invoked Him for aid and deliverance from their hardships and trials. Certainly, the help of Allah is near!)

Verily, along with every hardship is relief. Verily, along with every hardship is relief.) (94:5, 6)

So just as there is hardship, its equal of relief will soon arrive. This is why Allah said: ( أَلاَ إِنَّ نَصْرَ اللَّهِ قَرِيبٌ Yes! Certainly, the help of Allah is near!)

Javed Ahmad Ghamidi Explanation:
Ie., when the worldly retribution of people takes place in the time of the messengers of the Almighty, it always does so when people are fully made aware of the truth and they deny it in spite of being convinced about its veracity. Believers are granted success after they are made to pass through certain very trying circumstances. Here, the aforementioned Hypocrites are prodded that the Almighty’s help will not come in a manner they want it. This is an established practice of the Almighty which He never abandons.

Tafsir Qur'an Wiki:
As it comes to a close, this highly instructive passage addresses the fearful adversity the believers encountered as a result of their disagreement and confrontation with the Arab unbelievers on the one hand, and with the followers of earlier religions, such as the Jews, on the other. The sūrah reassures the believers that what they faced was part of the experience and education they needed to qualify for God’s reward in paradise. Believers must defend their faith and, in doing so, have to face up to numerous challenges and hardship. They will experience triumphs as well as setbacks. If they persevere and stand firm and hold on to their beliefs and convictions, they will earn God’s succour and trust. They will deserve to be the custodians of God’s message in this world. Their reward will be in paradise in the life to come. It is a fitting reward for their courage in defeating their own selfishness and greed, resisting all manner of temptation, and refusing to surrender their life and destiny to any other power or authority except that of God Almighty.

With these poignant and profound words, and in this direct manner, God addresses the founding community of Islam, drawing their attention to the experiences of their fellow believers before them who were entrusted with the same task of establishing the divine code of living on earth. Nevertheless, the message in these words is timeless. It is directed to all human groups to whom God assigns that honourable task.

It is an awesome experience that drives God’s own Messenger and those who have accepted the faith close to despair and makes there cry out with frustration: “‘When will God’s help come?’ “It is a picture of great trepidation and unimaginable apprehension that cause a believer’s faith to be tested so severely and shaken in such a profound manner. However, with determination and steadfastness, God’s help is sure to arrive, for “Surely, God’s help is close at hand.”

God’s support that ensures victory is reserved for those who earn it: those who persevere and stand firm to the end in the face of all adversity and misfortune, never wavering but always certain that God’s help is on its way. No matter how severe the ordeal may become, true believers will always look to God, and to God alone, for salvation and support. By displaying such faith and trust in God, believers are deservedly rewarded by being admitted into paradise.

The dynamic of social and religious struggle reinforces the human spirit and encourages man to rise above his own ego and so emerge purer and stronger, ready to uphold the faith with greater energy and vigour. Thus, believers become a shining role model even for their most ardent adversaries, some of whom are liable to be impressed and join ranks with the believers, as witnessed throughout human history.

But even if this were not the case, something else much greater and much more admirable happens: advocates of God’s order are liberated from subordination to any worldly power or temptation. Life and its comforts become of no real consequence, and man assumes control of his world, which can only mean a triumph for humanity and the human spirit as a whole.

The ingredients of success are faith, hard work, sacrifice, and perseverance. With those, victory is guaranteed and the road to greater, everlasting rewards, to eternal bliss, is direct and clear.

This verse is any eye opener, my brothers and sisters. Allah's help is always there for those who have complete faith and trust in Him, have patience and perseverance. If we remain strong and steadfast no matter how bad the times we are facing are, Allah is surely to help and take us out of our difficult times.

An effort has been made to gather explanation / exegesis of the surahs of the Qur'ān from authentic sources and then present a least possible condensed explanation of the surah. In that the exegesis of the chapters of the Quran is mainly based on the "Tafhim al-Qur'an - The Meaning of the Qur'an" by one of the most enlightened scholars of the Muslim World Sayyid Abul Ala Maududi.
In order to augment and add more explanation as already provided, additional input has been interjected from the following sources:
  • Tafsir Ibn Khatir
  • Muhammad Asad Translation
  • Yusuf Ali Translation
  • Translation Javed Ahmad Ghamidi / Al Mawrid

Collection of Hadith e Qudsi (حدیثِ قُدسی) attributed to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

We have been sharing sayings attributed to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, called Hadiths, selected from a large reservoir of Hadiths by some of the leading and most authentic Hadith collectors of Muslim history. Many of these Hadiths are authentic, while many others are weak or good with some semblance of authenticity.

However, there are about forty hadiths from the large reservoir which are known as Hadith e Qudsi. These Hadiths are directly attributed to Allah. Here a question arises that of these Hadith e Qudsi are attributed directly to Allah, then what is the difference between the words of Allah in Qur'an and these Hadith e Qudsi.

The straight difference between Qur'an and Hadith e Qudsi is that the text of Qur'an is verbatim from Allah, which were conveyed to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and were conveyed to his companions in the same Divine words without any alteration. That is the words and meaning of the text of Qur'an is UNALTERED and remains unaltered as Allah Himself has taken upon Him the responsibility of conservation of Qur'an from any infiltration of manmade alterations.

As for the text of Hadith Qudsi is concerned, it contains the exact meaning as was intended by Allah Himself, but these were conveyed by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in his own words. Thus, while Hadith e Qudsi is from Allah, it cannot be made part of Qur'an for it has been re-worded by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. And it is for this very reason that in Hadith e Qudsi, it is always said that Allah has said this, or promised such a such thing. Hadith a Qudsi, thus cannot be treated or taken at par with Qur'an.

Although, many a scholar are of the opinion that number of Hadith e Qudsi is more than 200, yet authenticated Hadith e Qudsi are numbered forty and are agreed upon by majority of leading Islamic scholars. following are some of the Hadith e Qudsi attributed to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, while more will be added to make the total number to forty, In Sha Allah.

How a few actions by a believer on Friday (Youm al Jumu'ah) can immensely reward him

Youm al Jumu'ah assumes a very important a day in the lives of Muslims all over the world, for it is the day when the otherwise noon prayer (Salat al Dhur) is converted in Jumu'ah congregational prayer, which is obligatory to be prayed in a masjid.

We have shared many posts, based on verses from Qur'an and Hadiths / Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ previously. Today we add another important Hadith which spells out a few actions for a believer for on Youm al Jumu'ah which are immensely rewarding. And if we follow these directions of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, we will reap its rewards equal to fasting for the whole year.

This Hadith is mentioned in Sunan Abi Dawud (Book # 1 Purification (Kitab Al-Taharah): كتاب الطهارة / Chapter # 131 Performing Ghusl for the Friday Prayer / باب  فِي الْغُسْلِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ  ) as Hadith number # 345, quoted herein under:

Narrated by Aws ibn Aws ath-Thaqafi:
I heard the apostle of Allah (ﷺ) say: If anyone makes (his wife) wash and he washes himself on Friday, goes out early (for Friday prayer), attends the sermon from the beginning, walking, not riding, takes his seat near the imam, listens attentively, and does not indulge in idle talk, he will get the reward of a year's fasting and praying at night for every step he takes.

And believe me, these actions are not at all difficult to do and yet the rewards embodied in these are so immense that every believing man and woman would like to reap every Friday for the rest of their lives.
Prophetic Directive for Bodily Cleanliness (Hadith attributed to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ)

There is saying attributed to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ that cleanliness is next to Godliness " الطھور نصف الایمان ". That is a man must keep himself and his environment clean, for an unclean body or environment provides a sanctity for germs and viruses and is heaven for diseases and ill health.

It is for this reason that Islam lays immense importance to cleanliness. The five times ablution during the day is one step towards keeping the visible body parts clean. But the whole-body wash on Fridays before Jumu'ah congregational prayer and even after intimate contact between husband and wife. Even otherwise a smelly body, especially on account of grown-up armpit hair and pubic area give our bad smell and is felt especially in public and in humid and hot weather. The bodily cleaning also includes the trimming of moustaches and finger nails.

In order to ensure that believers maintain a clean and healthy body, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in one of his Hadiths has laid down a maximum time limits for cleaning of unwanted hairs both under armpits and pubic area. This directive is mentioned in Jami` at-Tirmidhi  (43 - Chapters on Manners/ كتاب  الأدب عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عليه وسلم / Chapter # 15 What Has Been Related About the Time Limit for Trimming the Fingernails and Taking from the Mustache / باب فِي التَّوْقِيتِ فِي تَقْلِيمِ الأَظْفَارِ وَأَخْذِ الشَّارِبِ ) as Hadith number # 2759:

Narrated Anas bin Malik:
"[The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)] fixed the time for us paring the mustache, trimming the fingernails, shaving the pubic hairs and plucking the underarm hairs - that we not leave it for more than forty days."

Grade: Sahih (Darussalam)

The directive lays down maxim of forty days for cleaning of under garment hair for grown hair are places where germs germinate or dirt accumulates including the pubic areas. Likewise, the out grown mustaches dip into water when drinking and pollute the water. The area under the grown nails also accumulates dirt which gets mixed up when eating food and germs get an easy path to one's body.  However, it should be remembered to never bite the nails as it is not only disliked and may lead to vitiligo disease in which white patches of skin appear on the body.

However, forty days is the maximum limit, A believer must have his unwanted hair removed and nails trimmed every Friday before the Friday noon prayer. And when leaving one's home, it is preferable to wear some perfume so as to stay clean not only to be healthy but also leaving a pleasant effect on people around us.

The Reward of being part of a gathering where Allah's name is being invoked (Hadith Qudsi)

Hadith Qudsi are those Hadiths attributed to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ which in fact are pure revelations from Allah but have been mentioned by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to his companions in his own words.  In fact, these special Hadiths convey to the believers some specific actions that they should take so as to be blessed by Allah.

Today we share a Hadith Qudsi in which the importance of sitting in gatherings where name and attributes of Allah are being invoked. Those who are part of such gatherings, even a wayfarer who just stops and sits there for a while, will have special blessings of Allah for Allah loves his servants exalting Him en masse.

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (ﷺ), who said:
Allah (glorified and exalted be He) has supernumerary angels who rove about seeking out gatherings in which Allah's name is being invoked: they sit with them and fold their wings round each other, filling that which is between them and between the lowest heaven. When [the people in the gathering] depart, [the angels] ascend and rise up to heaven. He (the Prophet (ﷺ)) said:
  • Then Allah (mighty and sublime be He) asks them - [though] He is most knowing about them: From where have you come?
    • And they say: We have come from some servants of Yours on Earth: they were glorifying You (Subhanallah سبحان الله ), exalting you (Allahu Akbar الله أكبر), witnessing that there is no god but You (La ilaha illallah لآ اِلَهَ اِلّا اللّهُ ), praising You (Al-Hamdu Lillah ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّٰهِ), and asking [favours] of You.
  • He says: And what do they ask of Me?
    • They say: They ask of You Your Paradise.
  • He says: And have they seen My Paradise?
    • They say: No, O Lord.
  • He says: And how would it be were they to have seen My Paradise!
    • They say: And they ask protection of You.
  • He says: From what do they ask protection of Me?
    • They say: From Your Hell-fire, O Lord.
  • He says: And have they seen My Hell-fire?
    • They say: NO.
  • He says: And how would it be were they to have seen My Hell-fire:
    • They say: And they ask for Your forgiveness.
He (the Prophet (ﷺ)) said: Then He says: I have forgiven them and I have bestowed upon them that they have asked for, and I have granted them sanctuary from that from which they asked protection.

He (the Prophet ﷺ) said: They say: O Lord, among them is So-and-so, a much sinning servant, who was merely passing by and sat down with them. He (the Prophet ﷺ) said: And He says: And to him [too] I have given forgiveness: he who sits with such people shall not suffer.

It was related by Muslim (also by al-Bukhari, at-Tirmidhi, and an-Nasa'i).

We will not go into explaining this self-explanatory Hadith Qudsi except that we should find time out of our daily routines and sit with people who are invoking Allah for His pleasure only and seeking forgiveness.

How Allah Expiates some of a believer’s sins (Hadith Prophet Muhammad ﷺ)

Allah is the most merciful and pardoner of the sins of His servants. All a believer has to do is never to forget remembering and supplicating to his Creator whether in good or bad times, good or bad health or in happiness or in distress. And those who do so often find their supplications being addressed and their lives changing for the good.

But in many cases, it is seen that a believer is continuous in a state of tests in the form of hardships, diseases or setbacks despite being the humblest and faithful. When one's bad times exceed one's expected limits, one often wonders why his woes do not come to an end and why i always undergoing tests which he humbly endures.

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ answers this query in one of his hadiths as mentioned in Bukhārī  (Book 75 - Patients /  كتاب  المرضى / Chapter 1: Sickness is expiation for sins / باب إِثْمِ الزُّنَاةِ ) as Hadith 5641, given herein under:

Narrated by Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri and Abu Huraira: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick he receives from a thorn, but that Allah expiates some of his sins for that."

That is without his knowledge, Allah is making amends for him by putting him distress, fatigue or bad health in exchange for some of his sins for which would have been made answerable on the Day of Judgement. So let us full faith in Allah and His handling of our good and bad times here in this world and whatever befalls us, we should take as an expiation for some of our sins. Let us be happy for this goodly bargain for a lighter dossier on the Day we appear before our Creator.
O Changer of the Hearts! Strengthen my heart upon Your Religion (Supplication of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ)

Making a supplication to Allah is the right of every Muslim and if he does so, Allah is much pleased with him, for he is asking his Creator, and no one else. However, while doing so, one has to be mindful of choice of words. There are number of supplications attributed to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ which provide us well worded formats of supplications, that not only speak the wisdom of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ but also tell us that when making a supplication, we must first address our Rabb and exalt Him is words suitable of His matchless Mighty personality. Remember, the opener should be in consonance with the following supplication.

Herein under we share a supplication which connects the two parts of the supplication as mentioned above. This supplication is mentioned Jami` at-Tirmidhi  (32 - Chapters on Al-Qadar) كتاب   القدر عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم / Chapter # 7 باب مَا جَاءَ أَنَّ الْقُلُوبَ بَيْنَ أَصْبُعَىِ الرَّحْمَنِ) as Hadith number # 2140

'Anas narrated:
"The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) would often say: Ya Muqallibal-qulub, thabbit qalbi 'ala dinik('O Changer of the Hearts! Strengthen my heart upon Your Religion.)' So, I said: 'O Prophet of Allah! We believe in you and what you have come with, but do you fear for us?' He said: 'Yes. Indeed, the hearts are between two Fingers of Allah's Fingers, He changes them as He wills.'"

It is none but Allah Who has the power to move hearts. We have seen some of the treacherous hearts melting when Allah accepts their repentance and some humble hearts solidifying when their faith lacks firmness and humbleness. Same is the theme oof the supplication being shared today. Even Prophet Muhammad ﷺ the most pious person who ever lived on the surface of earth, is seen here first exalting Allah and acknowledging that Allah alone can move hearts of His servants, and then making an earnest invocation to strengthen his heart on Allah's final Deen, that is Islam.
May Allah (سبحانه و تعالى‎) help us understand Qur'ān and follow the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, which is embodiment of commandments of Allah contained in the Qur'ān. May Allah help us to be like the ones He loves and let our lives be lived helping others and not making others' lives miserable or unlivable.
