If this is your first visit to Islam: My Ultimate Decision, welcome. Begin Here
We started this blog from a humble beginning and over the years it has grown over time into a collection of reflections on the Qur’an, the foundations of Islam, the lives and messages of the Prophets, questions about faith, comparisons with other worldviews, and practical guidance for those who may be discovering Islam for the first time.
With so much material available, a new reader may naturally wonder: Where should I begin? The answer depends on where you presently stand in your journey.
You do not need to read everything, nor do you need to understand everything at once. Begin with the questions that brought you here, follow them sincerely, and allow the Qur’an to speak for itself.
If You are Simply Curious About Islam
Perhaps you are not considering becoming Muslim. You only want to understand what Muslims actually believe. This blog provides a good place to begin is with the foundations:
- Who is Allah?
- What does Islam mean?
- What is Tawḥīd — the Oneness of God?
- What is Risālah — divine guidance through the Prophets?
- What does Islam teach about the purpose of human life?
- What does the Qur’an say about accountability and the Hereafter?
- Who was Prophet Muhammad ﷺ?
Before judging Islam through history, politics, culture or the behaviour of individual Muslims, it is useful first to understand what Islam itself actually teaches.
If You Are Exploring Whether Islam Could Be True
Some visitors arrive with a deeper question:
“Could this really be revelation from God?” If that describes you, begin with the Qur’an itself. The Qur’an repeatedly asks human beings to think, observe, question and reflect:
“Do they not then reflect upon the Qur’an?” — Qur’an 4:82
Explore the verses dealing with:
- the existence and Oneness of God,
- signs in creation,
- signs within the human being,
- the purpose of life,
- revelation and prophethood,
- moral accountability,
- death and the life to come.
You may particularly wish to visit the section: Before You Decide About Islam Here the Qur’an is approached not merely as a religious book to be accepted, but as a claim to revelation that deserves to be examined thoughtfully and fairly.
If You Want to Explore the Qur’an by Subject
You need not read the entire Qur’an before benefiting from its guidance. Three reference resources on this blog may help you explore it systematically:
1. DOs and DON’Ts from the Qur’an
A practical guide to what the Qur’an encourages and what it warns us against — worship, justice, honesty, family responsibilities, compassion, knowledge, morality and conduct.
2. Selected Verses from Selected Surahs of the Qur’an
A guided collection of important and reflective verses from different chapters, with explanations of their context, meaning and relevance to life today.
3. Selected Qur’anic Verses on Selected Subjects
For readers who wish to explore what the Qur’an says about a particular subject — faith, repentance, justice, knowledge, creation, patience, the Hereafter, human responsibility and many other themes.
These pages are intended as doorways into the Qur’an, not substitutes for reading it.
If You Are Seriously Considering Islam
If you have reached the stage where Islam is no longer merely an interesting subject but a possible personal decision, you may wish to follow this path:
Who is Allah?
↓
Why Were We Created?
↓
What is Tawḥīd?
↓
What is Risālah?
↓
Why the Qur’an?
↓
Who Was Muhammad ﷺ?
↓
What Does Islam Ask of Me?
↓
How Do I Become Muslim?
At this stage, do not feel that you must know everything before making a decision. The earliest Muslims did not become scholars before believing. They first became convinced of the truth, and then spent their lives learning and growing.
Islam begins with recognition of a simple truth: There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, and Muhammad ﷺ is His Messenger.
If You Have Recently Accepted Islam
May blessings of Allah befall on you for reverting to Islam. Welcome to a new beginning. But remember, you do not need to transform your entire life overnight. Begin steadily.
- Learn the meaning of the Shahādah.
- Learn how to pray.
- Begin reading and listening to the Qur’an.
- Learn the essential beliefs of Islam.
- Develop your relationship with Allah.
- Learn what is obligatory before becoming occupied with secondary matters.
Your journey should be one of knowledge, worship, character and gradual growth.

If You Are Already Muslim
This blog is equally intended for Muslims who wish to pause and reflect. Many of us have read Qur’anic verses numerous times without stopping to ask:
What is Allah saying to me through this verse?
The purpose of Qur’anic reflection is not simply to collect information. It is to allow revelation to influence how we think, behave, worship, decide and live. You may therefore explore the sections on: Qur’an • Faith & Life • Prophets • Islamic Teachings • Reflection and Self-Reform
If You Come from Another Faith or Worldview
You are welcome here without being asked to abandon your questions. Islam asks people to think seriously about God, revelation and human purpose. The Qur’an even invites the People of earlier revelation to begin from common ground:
“Come to a common word between us and you: that we worship none but Allah” — Qur’an 3:64
You may therefore explore the sections dealing with:
- Islam and Christianity
- Islam and Judaism
- Islam and atheism
- the Qur’anic understanding of earlier Prophets
- Jesus and Mary in the Qur’an
- revelation, reason and belief in God
The purpose should not be argument for the sake of argument, but understanding before judgment.
You Do Not Have to Begin at the Beginning
There is no compulsory reading order on this blog.
- If one question brought you here, begin with that question.
- If one Qur’anic verse touched you, follow that verse.
- If you are struggling with belief, explore the evidence.
- If you are searching for purpose, begin with purpose.
- If you are looking for forgiveness, begin with Allah’s mercy.
- If you are already convinced, begin learning how to live what you now believe.
The Qur’an itself was revealed gradually. Human understanding and spiritual growth also develop gradually.
A Simple Principle for Exploring This Blog
Read. Reflect. Verify. Think. Then decide. Islam does not need to be accepted because someone pressured you into it.
The Qur’an says: “There is no compulsion in religion.” — Qur’an 2:256
But neither should something as important as the question of God, purpose and the life to come be dismissed without investigation. Give the question the seriousness it deserves.

What it means to be here?
You may have arrived here through curiosity, doubt, study, disagreement, spiritual searching or simply by chance. Wherever you begin, the central question remains remarkably simple: Who created me, why am I here, and has my Creator shown me the way?
The Qur’an invites every human being to consider that question personally. This blog exists to help you explore it.
- Begin with a question.
- Continue with reflection.
- And follow the truth wherever it leads.
A Final Thought — The Journey Must Eventually Become Personal
You may have arrived here simply wanting to know what Islam teaches. You may be comparing beliefs, questioning what you inherited, searching for meaning, or wondering whether the Qur’an could truly be revelation from the Creator. Whatever brought you here, there comes a point when the question of Islam can no longer remain merely academic.
The real question becomes personal: If there is one Creator, if He has spoken to humanity, and if this Qur’an is truly His guidance—what should I do with that truth?
Islam does not ask you to silence your questions. It asks you to pursue them sincerely, examine the evidence fairly, and resist allowing habit, fear, culture, pride or the opinions of others to make the decision for you.
The Qur’an says: “And say: The truth is from your Lord; so whoever wills—let him believe, and whoever wills—let him disbelieve.” — Qur’an 18:29
No one else can make this decision on your behalf. So begin wherever you are. Read the Qur’an. Ask difficult questions. Reflect upon creation. Study the life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Examine the message of Tawḥīd. And above all, ask the Creator Himself for guidance with complete sincerity: “O God, if this is Your truth, guide me to it.”
You do not need to know everything before taking the first step. You only need the honesty to follow the truth once you recognize it. Your search may begin with a question - It may continue through knowledge and reflection. But ultimately, every sincere search for truth reaches a moment of decision.
Perhaps that is why you are here. So Start here. Explore sincerely. And let the truth—not fear, habit or prejudice—decide where the journey leads.
May Allāh (سبحانه و تعالى) help us understand Qur'ān and follow the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, which is embodiment of commandments of Allah contained in the Qur'ān. May Allah help us to be like the ones He loves and let our lives be lived helping others and not making others' lives miserable or unlivable. May all our wrong doings, whether intentional or unintentional, be forgiven before the angel of death knocks on our door.
وَمَا عَلَيۡنَاۤ اِلَّا الۡبَلٰغُ الۡمُبِيۡنُ
(36:17) and our duty is no more than to clearly convey the Message.”
That is Our duty is only to convey to you the message that Allah has entrusted us with. Then it is for you to accept it or reject it. We have not been made responsible for making you accept it forcibly, and if you do not accept it, we shall not be seized in consequence of your disbelief, you will yourselves be answerable for your actions on Day of Resurrection.
May Allah forgive me if my posts ever imply a piety far greater than I possess. I am most in need of guidance.
