Many a non Muslim claim that the Qur'an is not a word of God but made up by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) by listening to the religious men of older religions who lived in around Makkah during his time. By and by, many have now started to realize that Qur'an could not have been word of a man for there are so many things that are beyond the perception and mental caliber of a man, what to talk of Prophet of Allah who was completely illiterate.
There are many miracles and many scientific facts mentioned in the Qur'an which had not been discovered by science and were known to men only very recently in the last three or four centuries. For example the protection of fetus of a unborn child inside seven layers of womb of the mother, the mountains that have deep rooted hold inside the earth, the two seas that flow side by side but their waters do not mix up with each other. Even the prophecy mentioned in the victory of Romans was mentioned much before the event actually happened in the history.

Today, let us mentioned yet another valuable information contained in Qur'an which has recently been discovered in the mountains of China and Peru. The verse 27 of Surah 34 Fatir reads:
اَلَمۡ تَرَ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ اَنۡزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَآءِ مَآءً ۚ فَاَخۡرَجۡنَا بِهٖ ثَمَرٰتٍ مُّخۡتَلِفًا اَلۡوَانُهَاؕ وَمِنَ الۡجِبَالِ جُدَدٌۢ بِيۡضٌ وَّحُمۡرٌ مُّخۡتَلِفٌ اَلۡوَانُهَا وَغَرَابِيۡبُ سُوۡدٌ
“Do you not see that Allah sends down rain from the sky, and We produce thereby fruits of varying colors? And in the mountains are tracts, white and red of varying shades and [some] extremely black.” (35:27)
Analyzing the word “Judad” وَمِنَ الْجِبَالِ جُدَدٌ بِيضٌ وَحُمْرٌ مُّخْتَلِفٌ أَلْوَانُهَا
"and among the mountains are “Judad” white and red, of varying colors,"
means, He created the mountains like this, with different colors, as we also see that there are indeed white and red mountains, and in some of them there are streaks which are also of varying colors.

The Rainbow Mountains are located in Zhangaye Danxia Landform Geological Park. These mountains are known for their unique bright coloured sediments which give the area a magnificent and unique look.

Beside China, one of the most magnificent geologic features in the world is the Ausangate Mountain of the Peruvian Andes (the header photo). The mountain is striped with colors ranging from turquoise to lavender to maroon and gold.
So "Which of the bounties of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny?" (Surah 55 Ar Rahman: 13)
